Prairie Dress
I like the Mary-Poppins-ish look of the dress - it feels like all skirt layers and frills and you really carry around a lot of fabric wearing this dress. I tend to exaggerate that Mary-Poppins-impression by wearing a tulle petticoat or my bloomer-ish plaited Meri pants (also a Tina Givens design) under the dress and burgundy flat Mary Janes. This dress calls out to the girl in me and that girl squeals in glee in response :D What I do regret is not having checked the overall length of the dress according to the pattern, because I would rather have it overall a bit longer. The dress I got following the pattern is a little above knee-length which is not the best length for me. I think the armholes are a bit oversized, so that the bra shows when I lift my arm.
