    Wonderful jacket

I adore Peplone so much that I made it three times. One in black linen, one in cream linen, and a closed version as a tunic, though for some reason, it turned out enormous and I had to take it in quite a bit to make it wearable. I absolutely love this jacket. Pulls every outfit together.

This was not my favorite jacket pattern, but it may be just me. I wasn't crazy about the pleats, they seem to add a lot of bulk. I may like it better with a different choice of fabric. I am not done with messing around with this, so I end up wanting to wear. I am comparing it to the Bianca Jacket that I made from a sturdier black linen, and I adore, and wearing at this moment. Others have given this jacket a great review, and made two. The bodice sides should be a bit longer to fit the front and back parts, and the facing needs to be a bit longer to fit the jacket. It is not for someone who is a beginner sewer. I think eventually I will be happy with my jacket, but not just yet.

Perfect for the Jasmine with Ruffles

Posted by Carolina Thomas on Oct 27th 2019

I really enjoyed making this slip. It turned out exactly as pictured and was easy to make. I opted to make the skirt a little shorter and did raw edges all around except on the bodice. I made it in a mid-weight linen flax color and did the jasmine slip also in linen but a blush pink. I wear different scarves with this to bring the character of the colors together and it's absolutely adorable. I can't believe how fun it is to wear ruffles! The weight at the bottom of the slip is grounding and magical;-D This outfit is quite the experience and truly a joy to make.

Loved this pattern, but needed to purchase a larger size. Length of bodice is a concern as its quite high. But with making a muslin dropping the length and sleeve length its ok. Still a delightful design.
