Mikaila pants & vest
I made the vest in a wool Berber knit, very warm and fun to wear. The pocket is perfect to carry a phone. The pants were sewn in a heavy brushed jersey, hit below the knee on my 5’3” frame, so this is a very short pant. The back pockets are decorative rather than useful, so I sewed those closed at the tops. I made a jersey to wear under the vest. Fun outfit to wear with white, old style sneakers and no show socks, even in winter. The vest will be added to the TG scallop top and scallop-front skirt ( I forget the names) for which I have fabric but haven’t sewn yet. So it’ll make a mini wardrobe.

Mikaila Vest
Beautiful layering piece. It is a simple design but instructions a little tricky when it comes to the arm facings meeting at the side seams and how you actually sew this so that it sits correctly. OK for an advanced sewist but probably daunting if you are new to sewing. I will make several of these though. Haven't started on the pants yet. I really appreciate having 2 patterns as an outfit in one product.

Mikaila
So I literally tracked down the fabric for this outfit, I liked it so much. Glad I did a muslin for fitting the pant, as it is extremely short on me which is crazy because I'm only 5'4" Also, the pockets are far shallower than the picture/video. The video was very helpful in constructing the pieces. In all a cute outfit! Waiting for the weather to warm up a little so I can wear it. By the way, this lovely woven fabric must definitely be washed first--it shrinks a lot! I would consider buying a 1/4 yard more
