Gypsy Jacket is a delightful short jacket with a little ruffle magic! Inserted sleeves and pieced bodice with tie closure! Perfect for holiday magic!
For the natural linen version, Tina chose not to add the ruffle and left it raw; didn't add the string ties and simply bound the neckline. Seams for front and back were placed on outside so they frayed when laundered! See this pattern featured in SYCHIL 01.

Worked great
I made this to go over a gyspy dress for a gyspy party. It look good, but I did have a few problems with the instruction. After I finished I understood them. Not so big it took over fit well.

easy fun layering piece
I had many 10"x10" linen squares laying around, a leftover from another project. I patched them together using a decorative machine embroidery stitch, and attached chiffon ruffles in same contrast color as the embroidery. Couldn't be more pleased. The jacket came together very quickly and nicely, I had no issues with construction, nor with pattern.

Delightful!
Very easy pattern construction - first TG pattern I ever made. I used crinkle muslin with silk chiffon. Lovely floaty chiffon top ruffle layer moves beautifully when worn. Perfect as a cover-up - I wear it with everything!
