This dress, when it's all said and done, is incredibly flowy and just fun to wear. I made mine a little bigger by accident since I'm new to sewing clothes for myself, however with a belt around my ribcage it takes the look to a whole new level. I also added sleeves for more coverage and pulled the dress up in four spots and sewed, for the effect of more free movement and so I wasn't tripping on it. I am very happy with how it turned out and am currently in the process of sewing two more to layer.

Trinka Dress
The fabric came from JoAnne, and it is OK, but not my favorite. I made a sample from some fabric I got at the thrift store, and it was totally the wrong kind of fabric for this pattern, but making the pattern up with that first was a big help. I am bad about not reading directions, and they are fairly clear, but I goofed up in the sample. I found out the hard way, you put the front together, then the back together, THEN you sew the side panels in. That is what the DIRECTIONS tell you to do!! The hem needed some trimming, because it was all uneven, but that was not a problem. I think if I make again, I will use a print. As you can see the arm holes are huge, that may be welcome in the winter so it can be worn as a jumper. I thought it would be dragging the floor, because I am 5' 4", but, it is perfect.
