Sleeveless, bound neckline, back opening with button or hook/eye. Shown with optional alternating length in panels. These can be cut all one length. Shaped yet with ease for comfort and an A-line shape.
Because you are working with 1/2” tuck pleats your fabric should be able to be easily manipulated. I would not suggest velvet or something slippery for this. A cotton weight is perfect, linen will hang more than give the A-line shape and denim, or a lightweight bottom weight fabric,
You can use a print but know it will be interrupted with the horizontal tucks. A geometric, or abstract print would work better than a floral or novelty print.
