Fabric: Light to Mid-weight Fabric
We used modal jersey knit and ‘sophia washed voile’ from robert kaufman fabrics in similar colors. The voile is used in the panel to give the skirt a lighter feel, but you could make this skirt in any light to midweight fabric. You could make it in: linen • jersey • Knit • denim • silk • voile • cotton • rayon and it goes on....

Skeet skirt
I love Tina's creations. They may not be for everyone, but I appreciate creative fashion that is super comfortable. Easy to follow instuctions. If you download the pattern,it does take time to put together, but I found I have used the pattern pieces over and over; not like commercial patterns that seem to shred after the 1st use.

Very versatile skirt pattern, endless adaptations
Having downloaded the pattern, and then tiling it, then calculating the measurements, I made adjustments to suit my sizing of XS, and five foot tall, reducing the overall skirt length by 8cm, but keeping the full length of the feature panel. Easily sewn up using linen remnants, and silk scraps for embellishments. Gorgeous skirt to wear, and have already received compliments. In the process of making another right now. Thanx for your generosity Tina, on making this a free pattern.

Very versatile skirt pattern, endless adaptations
What a fun, easy to use pattern! At five foot tall, size XS, the "lagenlook" is difficult for me, just way (weigh) too much fabric. This pattern gives the look without the volume. I shortened the waist by 3cm, and took another 5cm from the length 17cm below the new waistline, keeping the feature panel as is. I cut the main skirt out of 1m of 140cm wide linen remnant, and utilised the front placket panels from an opshop bought size 20 linen shirt dress for the lower panel.... the buttons and buttons holes make an interesting hemline feature. I also added an inseam pocket on the right hand side., and a strip of topstitched raw silk along the left Thankyou very much Tina for your lovely pattern, I will certainly make this again.

Skeet skirt
Beautiful! This is the first Tina Givens pattern I am working with. Nice instructions, absolutely clever design, and a good first experiment, seeing that it is free. What I am missing are more measurements. Like expected overall length of the skirt - before printing the pattern you cannot really see what the length is. The same applies to width at waist/hips (without elastic). These measures can help decide if the pattern needs adaptations. This is why I do not give 5 stars.
