Sandy is an easy dress to make. Make this one in something that drapes - rayon, jersey knit, linen. Pattern is included with SYCHIL 02, but made available to you here to purchase.
Includes pattern piece, and instruction to cut the dress. Bonus not included in SYCHIL are the pants. Elastic waist, pieces pants leg, lower crotch pant.

Sandy Dress
Even though this is a very simple pattern, I don't think it is for beginners, because so much of it is left up to the sewer to decide what to do. I used a charcoal linen, and a red velvet I have had for many years waiting for the right pattern. I made a mock up of just the top part to check the fit, and a large is perfect. Then I cut the swoop up the front as suggested, and added in some pleats, and basted to see if it would fit the way I wanted. I was happy with the results.

Very nice one! I made this dress from a grey interlock cotton jersey and I love to wear it with thick tights and boots. The only problem: It is quite heavy due to the lot of fabric it requires and strangely, it tends to slide backwards... (for need of a better description). But: I bought a gorgeous and light viscose panne velvet and will give it another try.
