On Size
KIANI slip requires a soft gauze, rayon, lightweight linen or a cotton or cotton/silk voile. We choose 100% silk organza because it adds a floaty and light personality to the Kiani Slip, a version of the Treacle Slip (featured in SYCHIL 05). I am delighted to bring you this slip, it is easy to make, versatile to wear and magical on! Irresistible!
Use a non-directional fabric for this slip, although we touch base on directional usage.
SIZES
The pattern includes sizes from XS to 3X in SEWTG size.
The slip is meant to be wide and floaty. bust line measurement for the garment is 40-60” (or 100cm - 152cm). Please measure the hips to accommodate your body.
We have included a SHORTEN line and a LENGTHEN LINE to offer a variety of lengths.
SHAPE
The pattern piece includes both a garment side-seam line for 44”/ 110cm wide fabric and a wider angled side -seam for 54” / 140cm wide fabric. For larger sizes I do recommend the wider fabric, it gives you the effect of the slip without losing the floaty signature of the garment.
And for extra measure we added adjustment lines to either shorten or lengthen your slip to the exact length you’d prefer. Currently the slip measures 41” or 104cm.
Note the two hem lines. The (A) curved line gives the slip a single length all around the body; while the straight line (B) results in the lower side seams as shown above. Because of the cut of this slip, it will fall longer on the sides.
