Marla is a super-dress, in that it is a show stopper and can be made in all fabrics.
It’s quite simple to make and has options for you. Make sure to place your measurements on the pattern pieces to check and verify the size you’d like to wear. Also, measure where the side gathers will sit on your body and adjust as instructed. You will enjoy this dress for sure.
FABRIC
Marla Dress: Silk Organza, cotton, voile, velvet, corduroy, jacquard, linen, denim, chambray. Almost anything will work for this dress, it all depends on what look you are after. A dressy translucent fabric as an overlay over the slip as shown, or a solid fabric so no need for the slip. This is a girly dress for sure. Make it your own.
